Blast Nozzle Orifice Gauge is used to determine the nozzle orifice wear which leads to low nozzle pressure and decreased efficiency in the performance of the nozzle’s venturi. This gauge measures the orifice size of an abrasive blast cleaning nozzle. Nozzle orifice wear results in decreased productivity and increased abrasive media consumption. This nozzle orifice gage can be used to monitor nozzle wear that can result in lower blast pressure, higher air volume demand (CFM), and/or decreased efficiency.
Pressure Blast Analyzer Gauge determine blast nozzle wear using this convenient, portable (8″ long) gauge. It is also known as Nozzle Orifice Gauge. A small black marker located in the cap is used to mark the side of the gauge. Once inserted through the back end of the blast nozzle and twisted, the gauge is removed and the nozzle opening is revealed by correlating the scale marking with black marker to the scale on the gauge (1/4″ to 5/8″). Air consumption (CFM @ 100 psi) is also indicated. The Nozzle Orifice Gauge is very simple and recommended for coating applicator, painting contractors, and inspection of coatings. It is mostly used for the Sandblasting Industry.
As a general rule, replace your nozzle when the orifice wears by 1 nozzle size to ensure your nozzle provides continuous high production.
