Caltech India offers PCR Solid State Device from EP-Tech Canada. Solid State Decoupler “SSD” can decouple DC Cathodic Protection Potential from AC interference and AC continuing / Grounding while CP requirement will be less. It is also known as Solid State Decoupler – Solid State Polarization Replacement Cell. A polarization cell replacement (PCR) is a solid-state device designed to simultaneously provide DC decoupling and AC continuity/grounding when used with cathodically protected structures, such as pipelines, tanks, grounding systems, cable casings.

The solid-state design eliminates the maintenance requirements and the potentially hazardous electrolytes associated with polarization cells, making the PCR are an ideal replacement for electrochemical polarization cells. The PCR has very high AC fault current and lightning surge current ratings. Polarization cell replacement (PCR) are used in conjuction with grounding cells.
